The social media star is starring with Jimmy Carr in a new Comedy Central show
GK Barry admitted she “appreciates the freedom” as she takes on a new role a little different to her Loose Women gig.
Grace Keeling, 26, is known as Podcast Host, Radio Presenter and TikTok Star, GK Barry and has developed a strong internet presence long before she appeared on the small screen.
Although she missed out on being crowned queen of the jungle, she certainly won over the viewers at home – particularly as her friendship with Reverend Richard Coles blossomed.
GK can also be seen as a regular panellist on Loose Women, but recently she’s taken on the role of a judge on the new Comedy Central show, Am I The A******? with Jimmy Carr.
She told Heat magazine: “I’m not going to lie, when I got the call that he wanted me on the panel, I did have to sit down for a minute.
“I tried playing it cool and acting like I would think about it, but it was a straight yes.”
Speaking about meeting Jimmy Carr, she said: “I was so nervous when I met him. But he was lovely to me, and we managed to get off to a good start as he also met my dog Noodle, kindly stroking her.
“When we started shooting, it was obvious how nervous I was, but Jimmy tried to help me out. He would ask for my opinion because I was a little bit scared to interject.
“He made me feel comfortable so I could relax and say my piece.”
The star admitted that it’s a completely different feel to being on Loose Women, and that she’s been enjoying the “freedom” of her time on Comedy Central.
GK continued: “Loose Women is very light-hearted and we’re all so supportive of each other.
“There’s no swearing, of course, as it’s more of a, ‘We will support you, queen!’, kind of space with the audience.
“Whereas on Am I The A*****? the audience isn’t afraid to give it back to us. Jimmy, Jamali and I all have such different opinions – we will go to blows with each other and nothing is ever really off the table.”
The Saving Grace podcast host added: “It’s a really weird switch for me. I love both of the shows, but I really appreciate the freedom to swear on Am I The A******?”
